Jane, Clare, and Paige-I have struggled to find the words since Reggie passed. I am heartbroken. I can’t imagine how hard this is for all of you. Reggie was an uncommon soul and the kindest, most thoughtful person I have ever known. He made life richer for all who knew him. Please know that I am thinking of you. Much love, Donna Shank.

Jane, Thank you for sharing news of the memorial service with this community. You are an extraordinarily strong woman yet I can only imagine how tough this is for you, Paige, and Clare. May you be comforted by the love that surrounds you at this time - and you have my pledge to work to make our world a better place, as inspired by Reggie and your family. I'll be in touch in the coming weeks.

Jane, Paige and Clare. I was so very sad to hear this news. I did not even know Reggie was battling cancer, or I would have reached out. Reggie was my law profession during 89-92, and he has been one of the most influential people in my life. I never have and never will meet anyone like him. He always had a smile on his face and was always ready with an encouraging word. He is one of the kindest and wisest people I have ever met. In fact, when my daughter graduated from high school in 2019, I asked him if he would write some words of advice for her. Reggie, always giving, agreed. He provided great life advice and a wonderful photo of the four of you. I put that into page in a book of life advice I put together for Emily that included advice from important people in her life and a few people Emily did not know but who greatly influenced me. If you ever want a copy of his page, please email me at lfey@feyllc.com. I would love to share it with you. I am so grateful to have known Reggie, and I am going to take up your challenge of doing my part to make the world a better place in his honor. Sending so much love to all of you! Laura

I was one of Reggie's students at KU Law in 1988-1991; I babysat for Claire, and attended mass with Jane and Reggie. He was warm, kind, intelligent, and patient (Oh, so very patient with my endless questions for I was a 'gunner.') He accomplished so much in his far too short life, and I'm grateful he reached out to me on Facebook a few years back and we re-connected on the telephone to discuss life. He gave encouragement and understanding because even though 30 years had lapsed, he was still teaching me. I am forever his grateful student. I miss my friend, and professor. God bless you, Jane, and Paige, and Claire.

I believe and agree Reggie lived a wonderfully full life. What I know for a fact is that my life has been more full and more wonderful because I knew Reggie. I am so grateful that his influence on me and literally thousands of other people will continue as his legacy of goodness. I love the phrase "human kind, be both." Reggie lived that every day.

Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to celebrate Reggie’s life. I keep remembering his quick wit and his warm smile. I’m so happy to have known him.

Yes, though we are deeply grieving Reggie's passing from this world, his very presence and modeling is inspiring all of us to work for what he also cared about -- justice, leadership and community service. His life goads us into living more full and just lives. And THAT is a tremendous gift he left us, and a legacy for all. We love you, Sister-in-Law Laurie (for Laurie and Al)
