Having cancer for almost 10 years, does not make me badass...it makes me a hoarder, I guess. I am working and it sucks that you're not, but we prioritize what we need to do and simply do it. Having had asthma in my 20's, I KNOW how much it sucks not being able to breathe, as it is generally required to stay above ground. Truthfully, I've felt great for the last 6 months or so...but it sounds like when your cancer hits, it hits hard. For that, I feel bad for you. Cancer weakens you, which is why only the strongest of us are chosen to carry that burden. I continue to pray for you (you're usually in my top three on the prayer list, so just in case I fall asleep during the prayers, you're covered early).
I am hoping that one thing you get out of this is that you're closer than ever to your daughter. So many college-age kids would move on with their lives. She seems to be a great caretaker for you.
Keep up the fight and cherish each day...try to find something good to focus on during the bad days, and always remember to always wake up the next morning, that's how we stay alive. All the best, Lori!
