Rashael’s Story

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.


Rashael was admitted in the hospital last Thursday for severe back pain and vomiting. The doctors discovered that she was severely constipated and that she has a compression fracture in her lower lumbar. The doctors also discovered that Rashael’s colon cancer is back and has spread throughout her abdomen, as well as her lungs resulting in a stage 4 diagnosis. We do not know what kind of cancer it is, but Rashael’s wishes to opt out of treatment. She wishes to be at home with her grandson Michael and his family, so she has chosen to enter hospice. The doctors said they do not know how fast the cancer will grow, so we want to make her as happy and painless as possible. We would like to fill the next couple of months with as many happy moments as possible for her. 


We wanted to make this website to keep everyone updated on how she is doing and to share some of the happy moments with loved ones who are far away!
