Randy’s Story

In August 2020 Randy Steele was diagnosed with an aggressive  brain cancer called glioblastoma, after experiencing symptoms and seizures that began in July.  Surgery to remove the cancer was attempted on August 12th but unfortunately, only a small portion of the tumor was removable.  Randy underwent a combination of radiation and chemotherapy and is currently battling seizures and fevers, awaiting the next steps for recovery and treatment.  Randy and Michelle have been a constant source of love and encouragement for so many in our church and community.  They have consistently modeled God's love to each other, to their church body and the community in our city.  

Our hope is that this site will be a place where family and friends can gather to give words of love and encouragement for the family as they walk this difficult journey.  You are welcome to visit the GoFundMe and donate to support the growing medical and household costs.

Dear friends and family, 
 
The service for Randy is tomorrow, February 11, 1:00pm at Montavilla Church.  
 
For those unable to attend in person, the event will be live on the church You Tube channel.  See the link below. 
 
If you are wondering how to support the family, we have been actively fundraising to replace the roof of the family’s home.  This is something that was at the forefront of Randy’s mind and is a practical way to honor him in caring for Michelle, Kaleb and Garren.  If you are lead to contribute to this project, please direct funds to the Elder Fund at Montavilla Church.  Please let me know if you have any questions.
