Journal entry by Samuel Pulkrabek —
Sitting with Randy in our dorm apartment on the UofM campus on a beautiful July evening. Randy was discharged from transitional care on July 13th and has been staying close to the Clinic and his surgeon for continued care and recovery. I am thrilled to say that after his lab work tomorrow we are homeward bound!! He will be traveling back and forth over the next few months for check-ups, gaining strength, and looking forward to the future.
Randy said early on to not give up on him and he was right, he’s a stubborn Bohemian!! Of course, none of this would have been possible without Scott, for whom we will always be grateful beyond words. In addition, the love and prayers of family and friends has sustained us through this journey.
Hopefully this will be the final entry as we start the next phase of our lives and find the new normal.
Sincerely,
Laurie
