Journal entry by Angie Smith —
Hi everyone, Mom had her second chemo treatment last Wednesday and is doing ok.
Side effects for the last few days were what we expected, but today was a little different. It's hard to see someone usually so full of energy, feel so bad that she doesn't really want to have a conversation or interact much with everyone - even during a family get-together that she'd normally thrive on with her grandkids.
To make sure she's not having more complications, she has another treatment tomorrow for bloodwork and extra fluids. The goal is to keep her out of the hospital. Hopefully this will bring her energy up and she'll feel better leading up to the next chemo. We do expect her to keep getting weaker as the process continues. Still hard to actually see it.
Thanks to everyone for continuing to pray and reach out to her.
Check out the photo of baldies - she loves this photo since Pete shaved his head and they also got her precious baby, Molly, shaved too!
