Journal entry by Sharel Marcum —
In December of 2019 Ralph went to our family Doctor for his annual physical ! No great problems going on just being 65 you just feel different then you do at 55 . After a prostate exam the was less then normal he was sent to get blood work. His PSA was high , it was 9 it had been normal 12 month ago. He was then sent to a Urologist for a biopsy and some other tests. Biopsy showed it was 1 Cancer 2 it was fast growing and 3 not curable but treatable. Next step was a CT scan to make sure nothing had matastisized in his lower abdomen. However it showed many large lymph nodes that were exsive size in his diaphragm. So on to a gastroenterologist. The did a biopsy through his esophagus they came back positive for Large B cell Lymphoma.
Surprise not one kind but two!!! That took from December 9 th, 2019 to March 23rd , 2020 to have a complete diagnosis! Part 1 of this Journey! More later!
