Remi’s Story

Site created on July 27, 2021

Welcome to our CaringBridge website Rally4Remi! In July, Remi was visiting her family in Minnesota and became ill rapidly. She was brought into the hospital and after undergoing several blood tests and scans she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, Stage 4  Neuroblastoma. The treatment is very intense and lasts two years. In that time, the family decided to continue the treatment in Minnesota so they can have the care of some of the best specialists as well as the support of their families.

We are using this site to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you!

Newest Update

Journal entry by Priscilla Rishavy

Good morning family and friends,

This past Wednesday we got the go ahead to leave the hospital after Remis first round of chemo! She has been doing pretty good, eating tons, and having a lot more energy which continues to give us hope! We will be in clinic today to see how she is doing and find out how her numbers are doing. Yesterday we learned how to administer gcsf (this helps her wbc counts go up) and how to clean her lines. Thank you for your continued support and following Remi’s fight against cancer. I will continue to update you through here. Remi will be admitted for her second round of treatment on August 12th, 2021. Please continue to pray for our family and Remi to continue to heal! Love you all!
