Journal entry by fleming sharp —
Friends, we have struggled with how to handle mom's funeral arragements amidst the corona virus and the recent lifting of certain restrictions of gatherings.
We have publicly called our service "private", because we do not want anyone to feel pressured to attend. However, we feel that anyone who wants to attend is welcome to come. There will be an attempt to keep people socially distanced but it will be hard in a graveside setting.
Please know if you cannot attend or do not feel comfortable attending, we completely understand! But if you are well and feel inclined to come, you are invited despite the service being labeled "private". There will not be a reception afterward but the family will stay graveside for a short time to wave, air hug e.t.c.
Many thanks to all who have reached out in remembrance of mom. ❤
