Hello everyone,

I just wanted to hop on and update you on a few major things that have happened over the last few weeks since our last update. First, we were nominated by a friend to Shields of hope and selected to be one of the recipients for Christmas donations. It was quite the experience. There were about 30 cars, some of them with sirens and lights, all pulling up to our house. And then one by one people got out of the cars with arms full of wrapped presents and brought them up to us. It was amazing to see the generosity of people in our community to help us out during this difficult time. We were stunned and didn’t know what to say or do!  Even Santa came and paid the kids a visit. When we unwrapped all the presents on Christmas Eve, we received items we needed such as cutting boards, sheets, towels, food, laundry detergent, but also thinks we wanted, like new clothing and the kids received the most amazing Lego sets and Barbies and even a drone for Mason.

Then, about a week after shields of hope came by with all of their amazing donations, a local company called tighten builders also came by to give us a donation. During the year they set aside parts of their profits and give it to a local family in needs. This year we were the family they chose to bless. So they came and dropped off a check for $5000! It was really amazing and humbling to be handed such a large check, especially during such a busy season and knowing that 2020 was a very hard year for everyone and lots of people are struggling. So we got to slide into 2021 with all these blessings stowed upon us and with the ease of knowing we can pay for Quinton’s next chemo treatment!  thank you so much for following along in our journey and continuing to keep us in your prayers.
