Dear Kellie...what a touching and memorable recap of this difficult/joyous journey...Every moment has it meaning and we will have coffee some day and will share with your our journey with our oldest...not with an illness, but football career ending injury. So many of your sharing thoughts brought back many of the issues he/we dealt with as well. It was his dream to go Pro...after two surgeries, daily PT for 2 years, the Doc said "NO"...but another beautiful door opened...and we have embraced this opened door! Quinn is an amazing young man...many doors are awaiting him...WE BELIEVE!!!

Kellie, thanks so much for sharing your mini-novel! It was absolutely perfect, written so much from the heart of a mom. I shared with Jake when I saw him in January, that Quinn's journey filled me with so much hope. I'm grateful for your ability to write so eloquently and thankful for your willingness to share Quinn with all of us. Sending a long distance virtual hug!!!

Thanks so much for the update. It has been an honor to walk this journey with you guys. You have gotten “down and dirty” with the reality of your feelings, and shared so much of yourselves with us. I am so pleased to see Q’s progress, but understand that it’s hard to trust the success sometimes. That little “what-if” is always on your shoulder. Please continue to care for yourselves as you enjoy each day of success, or have an occasional day of worry. Extend grace to yourselves, this is all part of it. Love to you all.
