Pyper woke up late yesterday for the first time in two days. She's still intubated until Monday probably but she is able to answer all questions with nods and eye movements.

She can lift her head. She can feel and move her arms and feel her legs. She is scared and expressing emotion and understanding of where she is at. Last night was more of the same as she dozed in and out of sleep. It was one of those long beautiful nights of her waking up every 30 minutes, panicking not knowing where she was, then seeing my facing, hearing my voice, and falling back asleep. She actually just tried to climb out of bed.

This is just a start but before she was sedated 2 days ago she couldn't do this.

This is the best possible news we could have at this point. All her other markers and vitals are progressing. She will get an MRI Monday which will give us more info but everything is as positive as possible. She needs to continue to progress with no heart or brain set backs.
