Walt’s Story

Site created on February 13, 2019

Please note that Tributes are donations to Caring Bridge and not to the family!

Walt was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in February 2019. Because we are blessed with so many friends, family,  and framily who have reached out in support, we wanted to start a site where we can keep everyone up to date with all the details. More info coming as soon as possible--At this point take no news as good news! Please note that Tributes are donations to Caring Bridge and not to the family.

Journal entry by Dannie Doskocil

Dad's Memorial Mass/Funeral will take place tomorrow, Monday, June 28th at 11AM at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Mint Hill, North Carolina. For those who cannot attend, here is the information on the live stream.

Go to the church's website located here: https://www.stlukechurch.net

On the main page you will see a ticker. Just below that is a link that says "Mass Live Stream". (See photo below). This link will take you to their YouTube channel which should have the mass active starting just before 11AM.

The video will also be available on the church's YouTube channel following the mass. I believe they said it's available for 48 hours but don't quote me on that. Here is the direct link to their YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdqkkjSUP100TzAeiJiGfZQ/featured

They have a mass at 4:30 this afternoon if you want to test it out. This is probably the extent of the tech support I can provide.
