I extend my deepest sympathies to all of Tudy’s family. She certainly loved her family in a deep way. She gave them a life filled with the love of a passionate mother… her passion for life stemming from her love for Jesus. Tudy’s continued prayers were that EVERYONE would know Jesus with their whole heart. We shared the blessing of joy and peace that comes from knowing Jesus in an intimate way and pray that all will find these gifts. I know I don’t always do the right things, but I know I can turn to the One who can “make my path straight.” Tudy helped me understand this too.

Our friendship grew most in the last few years. I was more than happy to take her where she wanted / needed to go. Her loving smile and sense of humor made it easy for anyone to feel comfortable and to immediately like her. Most of all, I cherished having her with me at church. We both enjoy the music and found that the worship songs would lift our spirits and we would often move with the music. We always felt so much joy after leaving any service. We also attended the Journeys program at Hosanna, and, for a short time, I was in the same Bible Study with Tudy. She was very wise in understanding scripture, and I learned so much from her. I know her Wednesday morning Bible study was very dear to her also and she made many friends through that program. Friends who will miss her dearly.

I will be forever grateful for her family’s kindness in allowing me the opportunity to pray one last prayer with her on this earth on the day she passed. The memories I have will be cherished forever in my heart. As I said my morning prayers and opened up my Bible this morning to see what God wanted me to see for the day, I came across this verse and it truly says it all:

1 Samuel 20:42
Go in peace, for we have sworn friendship with each other in the name of the Lord.

God brought us together, my friend, and He is still watching over our friendship! How blessed I am to have had you in my life. My faith helps me to understand that you are with Jesus and just knowing that provides peace to my heart.

I will look forward to seeing you again!

Love,
Connie
