Journal entry by Ashley Bost —
Hi everyone! Last week, Justin and I headed back up to Maryland for a few days to stay at NIH and have some labs/scans completed. We honestly weren’t sure what to expect from the results, especially knowing the nature of this cancer. At the last visit, there were two Pulmonary (lung) nodules, four liver nodules, and an area on the pancreatic tail had lit up on the PET scan. Well, today we met with his doctor, Dr. Pacak, and his team to review the results, and here is what he said regarding the overall status of Justin:
“Mr. Bost, you are doing great and everything is stable. This is the best news we could possibly give you!” 🙏🏻🙏🏻
We are absolutely ecstatic! Not only is Justin stable, but several of the nodules have shrunk or are gone completely…
- One on the lung is gone.
- Two on the liver have shrunk, while a third is gone.
- There is no spot appearing on the pancreatic tail from the MRI/CT scans.
- And, his labs are all negative (normal).
Our next visit won’t be for 6 more months, and then, if that goes as well as this one, we will only be going up there once a year. As his doctor said, “We don’t want you glowing from radiation around your wife and new baby if it isn’t necessary” 😊
God has just proved again and again how he had His hand over and around this whole situation. While it hasn’t been the easiest and Justin still has some physical struggles from surgery he’s still recovering from, we know that God has a purpose and a plan through this. He equipped us for this battle and continues to equip us for the road ahead. He deserves ALL the glory, and we are just going forward feeling so incredibly blessed.
❤️The Bost’s (and little baby Bost)
