Phyllis’s Story

Site created on June 20, 2021

Matthew 18:20. "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there among them"

Phyllis Ward recently suffered a stroke and is in the Neuro ICU at Georgetown University Hospital.  Phyllis was intubated on Friday, June 11th due to complications from the stroke.  We are asking that everyone pray for God to restore her lungs completely and bless her with a full recovery.   We are also asking for consistency of prayer for Phyllis, her care team, and her family.   Please forward this prayer request along to others who believe in the power of prayer.
While we have seen favorable progress, each day has been a roller coaster ride, and the status of her health remains uncertain.   She is fighting and has the will to succeed.  Therefore, my sister Kathy and I are advocating for mom every day.

Thank You To All

Hello All,

I've attached a digital copy of the funeral program and links for video footage of each funeral service for mom.

My eulogy for mom is about 32 minutes into the service for Norfolk, Virginia, and about 52 minutes into the Farmville, Virginia service
