Leslie’s Story

Site created on August 29, 2020

Welcome to our Caring Bridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope an d encouragement. Thank you for visiting. Les is a living miracle, he had a massive heart attack in 2005, just a couple months later he was diagnosed with Colon Cancer, he went through radiation and chemo went into remission for 4 years. He was re-diagnosed  and had his rectum and large intestines removed and was replaced with a Colostomy, he powered through Chemo all while still coaching Special Olympics. He went into  again for almost 3 years. Nothing slows him down he always has a positive attitude and time for his many children, he has 3 adult boys and there wives and a daughter, but he is papa Les to over 30 intellectually disabled children and adults. This year Les was re-diagnosed with Kidney Cancer and had the tumor removed and had some post op problems. The reason for this page is Les was diagnosed with a Large Tumor on his Brain. We want this page to update family and friends on his progress, there may be other posters also, feel free to enter your own story about papa Les. Let's keep him in our prayers and thoughts. Thank you Les's family

Journal entry by Lisa Todd

Today was a beautiful day for the Prayer Warriors walk for Les. What a wonderful job these special people in Les's life put together.  He was very overcome with Love and gratitude for the photo blanket they presented to him. I thought the signs with some of his favorite verses were awesome. Posted some pictures from today. Please remember they still have T-shirts and hoodies for order. Healing Verse

1 Corinthians 10: 12-14

God is faithful, and he will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing he will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it.
