Phyllis’s Story

Site created on November 17, 2020

Welcome to Phyllis Dresow's Caring Bridge page.  Here we will leave weekly updates on her prognosis and how she is doing.

Phyllis is currently in stage 6 of her dementia diagnosis and is in the end stages of ovarian cancer.  With that being said, she is still as spunky as ever, funny, resilient, and continues to represent the heart of a Marquardt/Dresow woman.  We ask that if you decide you would like to reach out to Phyllis, please read the journal entries to see how she is doing before you get in contact with her.  Answering the phone is hard, but she loves receiving cards and her kids make sure to read every one to her.  Thanks so much for taking the time to read about Phyllis, we know her love is with you.

Journal entry by Molly Schlieff

Hi loved ones,
Coming at you today with sad, peaceful news.  Mrs Phyllis Darlene Dresow entered eternal life yesterday, surrounded by her three children.  Attached is her obituary, where you can find information about her memorial services.  The services will be held in person and via live stream.  Thank you so much to everyone who has sent their love and prayers over the past few months, she loved hearing from you all.  Phyllis had such a big heart, full of love and laughter.  She was telling jokes all the way up to her final day on Earth.

The live stream link can be found and online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to be sent in her memory to the Wabasso Lions or Commercial Club (please call 507-342-5519), the American Cancer Society (click here to donate), or the Animal Humane Society (click here to donate).

A big Phyllis shaped hole is left in all our hearts.  And while she will be dearly missed, she will live forever in our hearts, our stories, and our jokes.  Phyllis felt all her feelings, big and small, whether happy or sad - I hope we can all share in that sentiment.  In honor of Phyllis, share many laughs, hugs, tears, and everything in between with those you hold close.

We love you, Phyllis.
