The Flip Trips’s Story

Over the past couple of days, Mike and I have felt so much support and love from such a wide reaching community of people.  Let us start off by saying how much we love and appreciate you all! After finding out this summer we were expecting spontaneous triplets, the boys have been lovingly referred to as “The Flip Trips”, a nod to Mike’s nickname Flip. 


We will be using this website to provide updates as we can about Finn and Luca on their day to day journeys.  Each boy is on their own path and we are reminded it will be a rollercoaster filled with good days and not so good days.  However, it seems Gabriel has had his own plan for his brothers.  Gabriel Michael, our bearer of goods news and protector angel, has watched tirelessly over his brothers the past 6 days and we have had signs from him daily :)


We will try our best to update this site frequently, but our first priorities are  snuggling and staring at Finn and Luca and spending time with Anika and Daisy.


Again, we love you all so much for being here and caring enough to follow along on our family's journey to bringing Finn and Luca home.  We are already missing an irreplaceable piece of our hearts and will honor Gabriel every day.  While we navigate our temporary new normal in the NICU, we do so in remembrance of Gabriel. We are planning to do a tribute in Gabriel’s name for all the amazing care we have received while being at Children’s NICU and are working to set up a GoFundMe.


Thank you for your prayers.  Thank you for your kindness.  Thank you for your strength. Thank you for your encouraging words.  Thank you for lifting us up.  Thank you will never be enough.
