Today is Thanksgiving. Not the way we planned for this day to be. Phil had his fall preparing for today. He is still in critical condition but they are starting to ween him of the breathing tube. The tube is still in but he is actually breathing on his own. They have also taken him off the propiphal so he is not as sedated as he was so he reacts and responds to commands. He coughed today and also had tears rolling down his face. He had is eyes open for several seconds today. These are all slight changes but are good signals for recovery. Carol has been so strong for him. I am really proud of her. I will update tomorrow.
