Philip’s Story

Site created on July 4, 2021

Philip has issues with his veins. Last night he went to the ER bleeding so profusely that he lost consciousness for a moment. He was treated for the wound and released. He’s recuperating at home. Philip is a trooper and directed providers extremely well even compromised. I don’t fully understand the medical mechanics of veins but he has had massive swelling and blood flue constriction issues for a while.

Journal entry by Bonnie Chisum-Mariconda

The hardest part of last night is that the moment Philip said “call 911” I felt a sense of panic that I might lose him. I was literally trying to pray and process that he could die on me. Then the hands of Jesus took me out of that ethereal shock abs I got to work.

Called 911. Found keys and purse. Got myself organized to help Philip get to the hospital. Reached out to my family for support. Not to mention FB.

It was the small thing of having someone to help get me from home to hospital quickly and to google the hospital because I was in shock and got lost in my own neighborhood. I was read sit that he would be ok Gathered Prayer Warriors (!) from church both ok’d and new friends.

I decided to text my immediate family and post updates here on Facebook.

Philip is resting now as we didn’t get to sleep until at least 3am.

Thanks for all the love and support.

Amen
