Dear Colleagues,

We write today with very sad news.

Dr. Phil Fleckman passed away this morning, Sunday March 19, 2023. He had been suffering with a refractory cancer (advanced mycosis fungoides) for some time.

Phil was a mentor, colleague and friend to many of us and will be dearly missed. We know this will come as a shock to many of you who may not have known Phil was ill. True to his humble personality, Phil kept his diagnosis quiet because it was his strong wish to not bother or inconvenience anyone with his diagnosis.

With Phil’s approval, there is an evolving plan for a “Phil Fleckman Nail Disorders Fund”, one of his longtime passions. More information to come in the coming days, including plans for a celebration of his life.
