Journal entry by PETER MAY —
Looks to be a nice day out today. I'll need to walk over to the hardware store and get some washers to repair the drain pipes under the kitchen sink. It looks like the one above the P trap is missing a washer and we got a flood when the dishwasher started kicking out water. A walk will be good.
Yesterday wasn't the best, no appetite, tired. I guess that's to be expected, but I thought on the recovery week I'd be feeling better. Also the neuropathy is still with me, but less and I've developed a sore on my tongue that's distracting. What a litany of woes, bah. Let's get on with getting better.
"I'll be fine!"
I finished the jigsaw puzzle last night with only one piece missing. Maybe the next puzzle will have them all, which would be a rarity. The next one will be a bunch of pictures of famous places in the world. It'll remind me of the places we want to visit when this pandemic allows travel again.
A pair of unrelated limericks.
This horny kid would just plow
ahead and say “how about now.”
If he wants the right answer
he has to romance her
But the schmuk just doesn’t know how.
A poem takes deep thinking
But not so with limericking
As long as lines rhyme
And flow along fine.
They make Pete a limerick king.
