I met Peter through my college roommate Jim Karr. Loved him right off the bat. Through the years I met a lot Jim’s New Trier posse. All great guys, but there’s only one Hagler. I don’t believe I’ve ever met a guy who made me feel so at ease, made me laugh like a hyena, listened to my boring stories and then, followed up with a question! Just like it was a fascinating story.
Having said that, I’m truly thankful that I never had to try and tackle him on the football field. A gentle giant. GIANT HEART.
