Journal entry by Peter Alfvin —
Time does fly. It's been over four months since my last post and one year this week since I finished radiation therapy. The only medical "news" is from September, which is when my second post-therapy PET scan was clear and even the "slightly hot" spot they'd seen previously that they believed was a remnant of the radiation therapy was gone.
As for side effects, my August report still applies. Things continue to get better at an excruciatingly slow rate and I continue to get more used to my condition. I'm also now fully off disability and am a regular, 40-hour/week employee again at VMware.
Mostly, though, this is a post to say thank you to all of my friends and family that replied here and to whom I did not respond in words at the time. In particular, thank you to John, Linda, Guy, Frank, Gary, Alek, Wynn, George and Greg. I think your multiple comments helped me along as much as any of the medicine I was taking. It's actually a bit overwhelming re-reading them now.
