Hello everyone on Wed 10/17/18 I will be under going my procedure.

I have made this site available so that you my family and friends can receive updates on my surgical procedure and where I am at with my recovery.  This will be a 4-6 hour procedure and your  patience  is appreciated.
The surgery I am having is called a posterior cervical decompression fusion. It is with hope that after a long recovery period I would hope to be back to my pre-accident condition.
Updates will be made as soon as possible.
Thank you all

Journal entry by Aisha Guzman

Penny was discharged from the hospital on Saturday, October 20th. Upon her return home she still experienced great challenges with pain and mobility. In the past 2 days Penny has made great improvements with her mobility and pain management. She gets a little stronger each day and is doing her best to build a day to day routine and meeting new goals such as ROM, walking, and independently eating finger foods! She is still experiencing numbness in both hands which prevents her from clothing & feeding herself. Penny is still unable to operate a motor vehicle and will not be able to do so for another 4-6 weeks depending on her recovery. Again, she thanks everyone for their well wishes, calls, and gifts! We will continue to keep you updated. Please, continue to keep her in your prayers as we continue to pray for a quick & healthy recovery!
