We have had a busy couple of weeks with doctor appointments, and various home health visits including nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
We received the results of the PET Scan yesterday showing any signs of cancer from the base of the skull through her torso. There were two areas of slight concern, one on her kidney and one on her colon. Jodi says the kidney spot has been there and never grown. The one in her colon may mean a colonoscopy and not sure we can convince her to do that. We may just have to watch it.
She finished radiation last Friday and will have another brain MRI in January. Then another PET scan in February.
My Aunt Jil, Mom’s younger sister, has been here for two weeks after extending a one week stay to two. What a blessing that has been. Mom has loved having her here. She has taken them to so many appointments and has showed us some great ideas on how to try different things to make life easier. If you have ever received one of Mom’s infamous homemade birthday cards, watch for a digital version to head your way from now on! 🥰
