Such wonderful news today! Peggy and John Robert traveled to Birmingham to UAB for a follow up appointment with her oncologist Dr. Amit Mehta. Dr. Mehta is a lymphoma specialist at UAB that has been monitoring Peggy's treatment that is being performed by Dr. Krishnamohan Basarakodu ( Dr. Krishna as he prefers to be called) in Dothan. Peggy has had 3 chemo treatments so far and at the midway point Dr. Mehta wanted to perform blood work and a PET scan to determine the effectiveness of the treatments. She received wonderful news today!! All of the original tumors and cancer cells are gone!!! There is no sign of cancer and Dr. Mehta told them that she is in complete remission. PRAISE GOD!!!!
She will continue her treatment course and will receive 3 more chemo treatments and another PET scan when those are completed. Dr. Mehta released her today for continued treatment and followup by Dr Krishna in Dothan.
Never doubt the power of prayer and of our almighty God. Praise God for the great things that he hath done.
