So sad I had to miss this day to celebrate Amy’s life. The sun was shining down on all to remind us that she is still with us all. Her positive spirit and the legacy she left in hundreds/thousands of lives shown through today from the sky. Cheers Amy! Until we meet again!

Today is Friday and we can see and feel the rays of sunshine that Amy is smiling upon us. Just think, in Heaven there are no computers, no clipboards with holes at the top for children to get their fingers stuck in, no shoestrings that need tying and no pain....just face to face with Jesus in His arms of love. Amy's last breath on earth was followed by her first breath in Heaven. Go celebrate her beautifully lived life. She was a blessing to all. Sent with love, prayers and peace.

I wish so much that I could join you on Friday to celebrate Amy, but I will be out of town. She literally never failed to make me laugh and helped me maintain perspective. I'll raise a glass to her from afar and wish you all warmth, strength, and laughter through tears as you celebrate her amazing life and legacy.

I was blessed to have Amy as my cooperating teacher at Sandy Hill Elementary. I did my student teaching with her. She always had an amazing way of connecting with her students, and I credit much of what I do as a teacher, to what I have learned from my time with her. By the end of my student teaching, we grew to be friends. We maintained contact for many years after. She was vibrant, full of life, and always patient as I was perfecting my teaching. :) I remember visiting her at her house even after my time at Sandy Hill was done. She made a photobook for me from my time at Sandy Hill and it still sits out in the living room today. I felt so honored when I listened to my voicemail that Mike took the time to call and let me know. She truly made an impact on my life, not only as a teacher, but as a person as well. I will miss her contagious smile and she will continue to be a light into the world through everyone that knew her. Prayers to your family! Love, Jodi (DeVree) Kline

We were lucky to meet Amy and Mike through my sister’s family, the Wagenmaker’s. We didn’t see them often, but when we did it was always, always so much fun. Amy is truly one of the warmest, kindest, most genuine people that I know. She exuded happiness!! She was a true light in this world that will shine bright in the hearts of all those that knew her. Mike, Sarah, Abby (and your families), there really are no words that can ease your pain. Embrace the love and prayers surrounding you and revel in Amy’s profound contribution to the lives of so many. May God be with you as you navigate the times ahead. Love, prayers and peace to you from Lisa and Kelly Powers.

Mike, Abby, Sarah and families, we are sorry we won’t be able to attend the Celebration of Life for Amy. But I did want to share a couple memories with you. When John was in the hospital for an extended stay, Amy came over and raked our leaves before an expected snowstorm. When John was released several weeks later, she brought over the most delicious “hodge podge” soup and gave us another container to put in the freezer. And another memory is when we were together at a gathering and she made her famous “crack corn” (Carmelly Butter Puffs) and I asked her if I could have her secret recipe. She laughed and said “it’s right on the back of the package”. I have made it dozens of times since then and I always think of her when I do. I will continue to remember her for her kindness friendship forever.
