Newest Update

Journal entry by DeAnn Wilmes

Lots of changes since my last update.

Paul has done a lot of resting since getting home from the hospital two weeks ago.   He has had mostly good days although getting to sleep at night can be challenging.   He spends a great portion of his day hanging out in his new recliner catching up on documentaries and the world news.
Paul has also been working from home via email and phone a couple hrs per day since discharge.
In addition,  he has been increasing his strength by walking 2-3x's a day preparing for the start of Cardiac Rehab tomorrow.
We have had only one ER visit in the middle of the night four days after he got home from the hospital.  The doctor found a blood clot in his arm where the picc line was placed which has since dissolved on its own.
We met with his surgeon yesterday and he gave Paul the go-ahead to drive which he jumped at the chance as soon as we arrived home.
Paul has met his goal of returning to work TODAY for the WMMA Regional Conference.  He was very much looking forward to the
networking group touring his Mereen Johnson plant this afternoon.

I again want to thank you all for your prayers,  kind words,  cards,  transporting Ben, home-cooked meals,  fruit baskets,  plants and flowers that have been delivered at the most perfect time.   God Bless❤
