Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Well as you all know now, Paul was working away in the mine in Nunivak.
He was tested 6 times on his turn around and all came back negative, and he came home on Sunday May 9, and on Monday morning he had to be in GFW for testing and to have his first vaccine so he had it all done,, and on Monday May 10 he got the dreaded call he was postive with Covid 19.
So where he was coming from a outbreak site he has to isolate 14 days alone, and that's something we follow properly, we don't put ourselves or anyone else in risk. Paul came home and went right to the camper. That's where stayed until day ,May 19 where I knew he was getting worst but he called the 811 and the nurse use to say that's flu like symptoms. Paul use to say I guess I my 50 years I never had the flu. he was so sick. so after all day I kept asking g I'll call get the ambulance, he finally gave in around 6 pm and I Called . We will be forever thankful for the 2 paramedics, they handle this case just like it was a everyday patient. Thanks so much..
He spent that night in emergency at Gfw, and when he got assisted on May 20 he got admitted to ICU, where he is to now, He is on 70 percent oxygen, the maximum until the ventelater, but that God he is holding his own the last two days and staying at that.
He have developed double phenomenia on top of covid so he is very sick.. but with each passing day and prayers Paul will fight this..
I will try to keep everyone updated on this..
thanks so much for all your caring thoughts and Concerns. God bless you all.

Good morning everyone...
I just spoke with Paul's doctor.  .
He had a pretty good night.  Rested better.. he is doing more coughing so , that's a good thing.  And the best part is they turned his oxygen back to 65 percent  today see if he can do 35 percent on his own.  If he do everyday they will try turning it back 5 percent everyday...lets pray this is the road to recovery..its a LONG ways yet but every step makes it better...keep the prayers coming... thanks.
