Journal entry by Bart Hummer

Hi Friends and Family

Paul had his first round of chemo yesterday and is feeling good about it. He is pumped up on steroids and realizes that feeling won't last, so today he is raking his driveway and putting gas in his family's original 82 Corvette so he can go for a well deserved leisurely cruise. He is overwhelmed, feeling the love and support and apologizes in advance if he has not thanked everyone personally. So here it is - THANK YOU!!!! YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!

Paul is on a chemo schedule of 2 days on and 12 days off. Day 1 he goes to the Upshaw Cancer Center for a high octane infusion and walks out some hours later with a pump that continues a lower octane regiment for the next 46 hours. He'll be feeling his most beat up on days 7 thru 10 after infusion. As we know, he is in otherwise great shape and wants to keep it that way. He's fired up to get on a rowing machine since biking is not an option and thanks to everyone's help..... he can do that!!!!! Thank you so much. He will be needing meal train assistance in the future. We have decided to play that one by ear and will keep you updated as need arises. Until next time, thanks for stepping in. Lots of love coming at you from Paul!!
