Paul’s Story

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Paul went to the hospital earlier this week because of leg pain.  The doctor's found a pulmonary embolism that was larger than normal for his age.  They did send him home because he was not having any stomach pain.  The next day they went to the doctor to set up the surgery and it was set for Monday October 25th.  Later that night he was in such pain (in his leg) that Doreen called 911 and had them take him to the hospital.  It was then that they found  blood clot in his leg.  The surgeon came that night to take care of the clot in his leg and decided to take care of the aneurism at the same time.  This was Thursday night October 21st.  He came out of surgery and they said everything went well (he was in surgery for over 5 hours).  After the surgery they would not let him drink anything because his bowls were not working (a common thing that can happen from the long surgery).

Paul passed away around 1pm this afternoon.  He will be missed by so many.  We all love him very much.  I am asking for extra prayers for Doreen.  Her life has changed completely and she will need everyone's love extra right now.  Please face book me or text me with any questions.  Thank you everything for everything.
