Paul’s Story

Site created on October 29, 2018

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.                 Paul had surgery at Cleveland Clinic last Thursday 10/25/18. He had a Centrimag Lvad put in. What this does is pump his heart until he can get a transplant.        Since his heart was not pumping strong enough to get the blood flowing to all of his organs, his liver and kidneys were starting to fail.  He is still on a ventilator and sedated. His blood work is slowly improving and they are hoping to wean him off the vent soon.  At this time he is not stable enough to get a heart should one become available but that will be the next step when he improves. He will not be able to leave the hospital until he does receive a new heart.  We are very grateful for all the prayers and support from our family and friends.   Thank you so much,  we couldn’t do it without all of you.  We love you all. 💕
