Hi ~ I was friends with Paula through Jr. High and High School. I also know Chris. I met Lindsey (sp?) a couple of times at our reunions, and last saw Paula and Chris at the Reunion on the Queen Mary. She was lovely as always, and we had fun catching up. Your family seems to be doing well, and happy. Glad for your dad's new life, and that you carry on the family traditions. I have two sons, Parker and Taylor, 30 and 28, and am married to a wonderful guy for the last 32 years. I too turned 71 in August. My sons are both musicians and play in a couple of different bands, as well as holding down full time jobs here in Las Vegas. Just as an aside, my sister Marcia bought Chris's metro in High School. My sister has refurbished it and uses it regularly and is a member of the Met Club of Southern California. They do "Cruises" on various Orange County routes, have lunch and throw parties. It is a fun avenue for her to have her very first car as a part of her life now. She is a tennis referee for high school and college meets and loves her work. Marcia will be 70 this year. I work as a Real Estate agent in Las Vegas, so if you know anyone interested in buying here, please let me know. I would love to help a friend of a friend. Joyce Tipton Mikkelson is one of my very closest friends, and we spend several days together a year, most recently for her jaunt to Manhattan Beach for birthday celebrations.

My best to you and your family. May you stay safe, enjoy life and know that your mom is proud and enjoying your lives from above.

Warm regards,

Christine Jones Adsit

Darling Carrie, This is such a beautiful tribute to your adorable mother and a very real testimony to the loving heart of Paula that lives on in you and her beloveds. Every blessing to all of you in your old traditions and new adventures , living just as Paula would want. I have every confidence that she is alive with her Savior and keeps you close. Love to all

I SO VERY often think of my friend...who also happens to be your Mom. :-)

I even did a double take the other day when I "saw Paula" in a store and my heart at once was reaching out in happiness. Thankfully, for the stranger who was lucky enough to resemble Paula, my arms did not ALSO reach out to her. :-)

Just last week I was telling our house guests about my friend, Paula.

We did not know each other long, but we were fast heart friends and I still carry that friendship in my heart and life.

Along with you, we are thrilled that Kathy is part of Lindsay's life, your lives, and ours!

And OH THOSE "BABIES" of yours look so beautiful and are so precious. Love and hugs to you all! Byron and Carol

Carrie,
I can’t thank you enough for this update answering so many of the questions I have had for a while. Cheers to you and all of your family. I have missed seeing the Wurlitzer family members every so often out and about, so this soothes that missing-ness. Blessings of peace, trust, and love,

Donna Thomas

And always drink good champagne! A motto true for the Wallstrums also. Thank you, Carrie, for your recent post and the well-chosen words you penned about a glorious person gone too soon. Those lucky enough to watch your family grow, rearrange, and establish new traditions while keeping Paula in your hearts is exactly what she would want for you all. Your blue eyes see so clearly both back and forward and are jewels of the necklace that will always be a family heirloom.
