Patti’s Story

Site created on August 27, 2018

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Patti was diagnosed with a "mass in the brain" in March of this year, 2018.  Since then, more and more tumors have been found in different parts of her brain.  Not a good sign!  So, she has progressed from taking steroids to shrink the one tumor to gamma knife radiation, to now, soon, starting chemo therapy being administered directly to the brain.  Part of the side effects from the steroids have been an extreme exhaustion, so Patti has decided that having a Caring Bridge site might be the best and most efficient way to keep loving friends and family informed -- and put her limited energy to good use.  She thanks you in advance for all your love and support!

Journal entry by Patti Henry

Just letting you know I got another stem cell infusion on Thursday.  They called it a "boost."  It made me really sick again, but I understand that that is temporary.   The positive effects will show in 10-14 days.  My white blood count and my energy should improve dramatically.  Can't wait!
