Today there is a big hole in our hearts. Our dad has left our world to join mom in heaven. Dad was transferred from Genesis East to Clarissa Cook Hospice yesterday afternoon. He was treated very well there, and was kept very comfortable. He was surrounded by a lot of family and prayers and love .Our family friend, Lisa Rogers, brought her therapy dog, Kali, to bring comfort to Dad and to all of us . Jerry and his wife, Carrie, stayed overnight in the room with Dad.  Dad passed away peacefully this morning . We were so grateful that we all have had this extra special time with our Dad . I am convinced that Dad was determined to make it to his 91st birthday before saying goodbye . This past month has been so incredibly emotional .
