I am so very sorry for your loss. I did not know your Mom but have been friends with Dick and Cap since childhood - our parents were very good friends. This breaks my heart - I had kept in touch via Dick and he told me today about your Mom's passing. I will pray for all of you as you go through this. We are so sorry to hear this news. All of you are in our prayers!

Patty (as I called her, always) was a legal secretary when I met her in 1981. She typed my letters and documents in my first job as an attorney. From there we worked together for many years in various iterations of "Ballard" firms. She was a faithful and diligent colleague, but first and foremost a close friend. I loved her dearly. Our paths crossed again when she joined the Hornsby firm - we discovered we were in offices in the same hi-rise building on the same floor, just across the hall from each other! We immediately renewed our old jokes and stories, and carried on as we had when we worked together all those years. I am so thankful we had that time to continue our friendship. My wife (also a "Pat"), and my legal assistant Rhea, both worked with Patty for many years, and they join me in sending our prayers and love to all of you.

I am heartbroken. Please let me know of your funeral plans.
