Journal entry by Kate Hunt

Pat Onley passed away on November 29th. Pat had been suffering with ALS (Lou Gehrig ’s Disease) and is finally at peace.

Pat was born on November 9, 1944 in Sulphur Springs,Texas and worked in the education field for over 40 years. She retired from the position as a Counselor Administrator.

Pat was a longtime member of the Doberman Pinscher Club of Dallas and DPCA. She was a longtime Doberman owner and breeder. She loved having her Dobermans around her.  Some of you may remember Cherry, Jake, Diva, Boots, Sugar and several others. These are just a few of her Dobes. Pat lived on two acres and the dogs enjoyed the run of the yard. She was a big fan of Guinness, bred by, and co-owned with me. In recent years Pat added another breed to her home. She purchased Ibezthan Hounds and eventually had a litter.

Pat’s Dobermans: Sugar and Coach were re-homed over the last few months and each went to loving homes. It was extremely difficult for Pat to let go of her beloved Dobermans but she knew it was for the best.

Pat has three Ibezthan Hounds that her daughter and friends are taking care of temporarily. One of the hounds we have a home for within our family. We need to find loving homes for Lily (11 years) and Bella (9 yrs) They are wonderfully sweet girls and are obviously acquainted well with Dobermans. They appear to be in very good health. I will post pics later of these two girls. Please PM me if you are able to help.

Pat is survived by Kate Onley (daughter)and Benton Kash (grandson)
Kathy Onley (sister)

Preceded in death by

We are actually having a dog show in Dallas this weekend. Dobermans show at 1:00 pm on Saturday so I’m hoping people will attend Pat’s funeral after they show their dogs. Pat will be smiling above to know Doberman lovers were in town for the dog show and stopped by to say good-bye.❤️❤️
