I am so touched, moved and devastated all at the same time. I look forward to to all of the stories about here, some that I know and the others I look forward to to hearing about. Brandon is also devastated as he has so much of her in him, and both Patty and I are so proud of the son we had together when we were very young. Just know that Patty and I are and always have lived a creative life style and always lived in our way. Patty was honestly the most creative, very private and loving person ever created. The things she could make and see were always amazing. I am going to pause my life for a while and think about her and what she would want me to do. I am devastated and inconsolable but committed to honor her in the most meaningful "Patty" way. I love you all and get strength from your stories and support, it's all that is keeping me going. I am going to write a book and cookbook from the recipes and stories that I know and have. Much love. Greg

Dear Greg and Brandon, I send love from all the Hanneys, Patrick, Kerry and Greg (so named for your strength and boldness). Sean and Patty will be with us until it is our turn to find peace and rest from this journey. I remember the first time I met Patty. When I opened the door I was stunned by her beauty. She was on her way home from a photo shoot and was at her finest. After we sat and talked I was stunned by her inner beauty....such heart, soul, love, peace and a brilliant mind. Having Brandon join our family now and then after school was our first gift from you. Over the years, Patty sent Sean special boxes of treats....caramels, chocolates and other sweet bites which we all knew not to touch! Patty began mentoring Kerry when she was 3 and observed her “hand” with play dough, then gave her a special recipe for real cookies to practice with. Patty was there for her with advice up to the recent expansion of Kerry’s bakery. She gave us so many gifts, no one can count. How do you capture such light? Mindy Anton is right: Patty is the most beautiful angel in heaven. Greg, we are all here for you and Brandon. You are not alone. Much love.
