My wife Noreen (now deceased) and I had the good fortune of getting to know Patricia and daughter Jeanne at Wilder Foundation's Memory Club. This was a wonderful support program for people in the early stages of cognitive decline and a family or friend caregiver.
We enjoyed Patricia and her clearly and often humorously stated ideas and commentary about whatever topic was being covered. We learned a bit about her time spent Ireland but wished we'd gotten more of that history. She was open and deservedly proud about her successful finding and staying in the state of recovery.
I feel privileged to have witnessed the loving and sometimes difficult caring of Jeanne for her mother.
Patricia is in a better place now. God bless her.

Jeannie, I read through the updates here and felt sad all over again. She seems to have followed Jerry's footsteps from fall to leaving. He, too, had a fall, and then surgery and the end was not far behind. It's a really hard time for all of us -- you, me, Pat, Jerry. I wish you peace and blessings and I promise to not stop thinking of you and your mom with love. Meg

Jeanne, so sorry to hear the news. I know very well how this can be so painful and a relief as well. The pain will subside and you will be left with fond memories. You took good care of her, and she knows that.

I love thinking about Pat's spirit back in Ireland and with her beloved father again. I will miss her so much and am so grateful for having her in my life. Extraordinary is not a big enough word to encompass all that she was.

Oh Dear Jeannie and your sisters. I am SO very sorry and sad to know that your mother, our beloved friend, a noble woman is gone. I did not know she was so close to going. I sincerely hope you feel good about all the care and caring you gave to her for so long. How fortunate for her to have you. I truly feel this loss with you. I am glad that I was some part of her life in different ways along the way. I send support and prayers, and much love, from Mary Z.
