Newest Update

Journal entry by Pat Kunkel

As we approach Thanksgiving this week, we have much to be thankful for!  First and foremost, we do not take for granted that we are still alive and that God spared our lives.  We are thankful our injuries were not life-threatening and that we WILL fully recover.  We are thankful for all of the love, support, and prayers that we were showered with from our family, friends, and even some that we do not personally know.  God is so faithful and we thank Him for all He has done and has yet to do in & through us.

Some specific updates:

Pat has been going to physical therapy twice a week.  His hand and wrist are continuing to make good progress.  He is able to do a lot more with them.  However, he still continues to be having some issues with his elbow - it does not want to bend.  It is moving slightly, however, not anywhere it needs to be.  He is scheduled for a MRI on Tuesday.  Please pray that the MRI would give the doctors insight as to what to do next.  A quick follow-up from our last update - Pat did go hunting and shot THREE deer!  He was so thankful for the help he had to haul and butcher them.  Thank you Lord for the abundance!!

I am making progress in physical therapy - this week, I should be able to start adding a little weight to my exercises.  I have also been able to go for some walks and enjoy some fresh air.  It's going slow, but thankful for some physical activity.

Please pray for us - that we would continue to have thankful and grateful hearts - even when we are dealing with daily pain and discomfort.

May God bless each of you for partnering with us on this journey!
