Pat’s Story

Site created on March 29, 2021

Pat was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in March 2021. She will have a double masectomy on April 1st, 2021. After surgery, we will know more about her treatment plan involving possible chemo and radiation. Our prayer is no additional treatment will be needed!

The best way to help out is prayer. We believe in the power of prayer! Our God is a good god and we believe he brings us through trials to help us draw closer to him!

She is a fighter and we know she will fight thru this battle. Thank you for fighting with her!

Journal entry by Ashley Rowland

Mom posted this today and her words say it best!!!  ❤❤❤❤❤

Today is a day that I will never forget. I got my last chemo treatment. First and foremost I want to thank God for being there 100% for me during this challenging time. When I thought I could not go on there was always something he showed me or spoke to my heart. He is my rock, my fortress, my deliverer,  my protector and most of all my healer.

Big shout out to my Carle Hospital Cancer team. Dr Rowland and his staff are amazing. The Carle Hospital infusion nurses are the best. They sat with me, held my hand, cried with me and calmed my fears they are truly Angels of Mercy. I will never forget your kindness.

Thanks to my Church family at Life Church. You are the hands and feet of Jesus. Well Done!!!!

To my extended church Family in Tennessee I love you all you and thank you for your Prayers!

To my State Farm Family at Shawn M Jr Wilkins  and Shawn Wilkins Sr.  Office I am so grateful to you all.

Now I cant leave off my family. My sisters  and brothers have been there with me thru my journey and will continue to be there for me.

To my husband James R Hardig you have had to deal with alot. I love you more than words can say. Thank you for all you do for me and continue to do.

To my two beautiful daughters Amber & Ashley I love you to the heavens and back. Thanks for all you have done for me.

It has been said that no one fights alone.  This is so true. Without the support and understanding of so many, many people I could not have gone thru this. Some may have fixed a meal, or sent a card, or came and visited with me. Your special phone calls when I needed encouragement your text messages to lift my spirit.

I do have to do a 5 week course of Radiation but the Doctors have assured me the rough part of the Journey is over and I will be able to breeze right thru this part. Again I thank you from the bottom of my heart

Thanks to my special guardian Angel's my dad and mom.

Love you all dearly!!!
