Newest Update

Journal entry by Rachel Ghilarducci

Hello All,
I know it has been a while since I have posted an update, so I thought I should! Papa Jack is doing really well. He can speak clearly most days. Some days are better than others, but he’s making huge improvements everyday. He can move all of his limbs and the staff sits him up in a wheelchair on days when he’s strong enough to. He’s doing really well at the rehabilitation facility. He still has bad secretions in his lungs, but the doctor reassured me that it is pretty normal for someone in this situation with his history. When he is strong enough to tolerate three hours of therapy a day, he will be moved out of the hospital portion of the facility, and into the intensive rehab side.

He is allowed window visits, and they put him on the phone. The nursing staff has asked us to coordinate visits because it is hard on staff as well as Dad to do multiple visits a day. If you want to visit him, let us know! 970-888-2279

Thank you for your support! 💚
