Pam’s Story

Site created on March 23, 2019

On April 13, 2017 Pam was operated on for a brain tumor.  It was a 10 hour awake surgery. She went through a year of radiation and chemo.  Everything was great.  A year after her radiation treatment she started developing radiation necrosis.  It has continually damaged her brain.  In Oct. of 2018 we had to put her in a skilled nursing facility.  She got an infection and was sent to the hospital and from there she was put into a Hospice Center in Poway, Ca.  She is in Villa Pomerado and has been there since Jan. 2019.  The outlook was very grim initially but the longer she has been there the better she is.  She is a real fighter.  They prepared us for weeks to live.  Since she has been there each week we have seen improvement.  She eats beautifully and the food is awesome.  She can now stand and take a few steps with help.  She can say a few words and the last few weeks she has even said sentences that have made sense.

My moms been doing very well, trying to talk often and does exercises with my dad every morning and night.
Everyone is continuing to pray everyday, thanks again to all the well wishes!
