Journal entry by Brian Warre

OK everyone first of all Pam wants to say Thank you to everyone for all the thoughts and prayers. It has been inspirational. Pam. Has been fighting this horrible disease and standing strong. The chemo is a nasty thing and it really tears a persons body up. Pam completed 6 of 8 treatments of one of the strongest chemo drugs known. It took a toll on her mostly starting around week four. All of her has fell out within the first two weeks. They are pumping as much of these poisonous drugs into her as she can handle without killing her. After the fourth week the real effects begun. Her hands and feet have went numb. In the beginning it was tolerable. She literally can no longer walk. It is very dangerous because she can not feel her feet. She has lost all her balance. She has fallen a couple of times but luckily she wasn’t in a bad place when it happened. Now she can barely walk with assistance. Eating and brushing her teeth have become a chore. She can or feel her fingers. So also while this is going on the 6th treatment day when we go in for the infusion they always do your blood work before anything. When they ran her bloodwork on the sixth treatment her platelets where critical. She began to blister up from in between her fingers and up her hands and arms. Like a rash with little blisters in it. (VERY PAINFUL AND ITCHY) .They kept us in the hospital for about 6 hours and had to do a blood infusion. She was in pretty bad shape. They decided at this time that maybe the chemo was too strong for Pam  and in fact the first six weeks were pretty successful. The tumor went from 3.5mm x 3.5mm to 1.5mmx1.5mm. They decided to just completely take her off this one drug. This is the drug that is causing her feet to swell and the blisters. She also has blisters in her mouth. Ouch.So they took her off this drug early and decided to finish the last treatment of the other type of chemo drug they had her on. So we waited another week and go back. This time her platelets have came back and everything is low but level enough for the last treatment. So she has finished that round also. Now we have two week break too give her body a little relief. Then we meet with the dr’s again and we start a new chemo regimen of another drug. Hopefully once she finishes this treatment they will choose to do the surgery. Then after the surgery they say she will have another round of chemo. Then god willing she will be strong enough to have finished all of this and we will be on the road to recovery and helping another women in her time of need. So that’s a brief description of what has been  going on wit Pams treatments. It is a very rough road and no one should have to suffer through this. This is not only hard on the person whom is undergoing all the treatments but its tough on everyone involved. It’s time for us to come up with a cure for this. Raynestorm has devoted to donate a portion of every job to the fight against breast cancer. Raynestorm is also sponsoring a breast cancer awareness ride and raffle. The grand prize of the raffle is going to be a freshly rebuilt beautiful 2006 Harley Davidson Electra glide. There will also be T-Shirts and other prizes raffled off. All sponsors will receive a t-shirt. We will post all the details as soon as we finish booking the route and receive the raffle tickets etc.. This will all takes place in March however tickets will go on sale next month. Please help us make a difference and pass on this site and the spot fund site. Help us spread the word. That is what really helps. Send to the family, friends, contacts, everyone is effective ted by this disease. Let’s get everyone involved.
Thanks so much
Pam and family
