Journal entry by Sheila Davis —
Paige is doing much better today, although noticeably tired. Her speech is coming back each day and she was cleared for a full diet now. Which means she is having no more problems chewing or swallowing!! She still has no movement in her left arm or left leg but she does have feeling. A CAT Scan yesterday showed there may have been a small stroke or event during surgery or soon after, not unexpected, but they are taking extra precautions to reduce swelling. She will be in ICU at least until Monday, maybe longer. Vsitors are okay, but please abide by their rules
She is looking at six to eight weeks in a live-in rehab facility once she is discharged from the hospital and then a lot of hard core therapy after that.
