I understand very much of what you are sharing, as my brother went through similar cycles with his cancer, though he was never able to get a transplant.

As for dogs... I cannot possibly more highly recommend a Goldendoodle. I have had dogs all my life. The best dog I've ever had was Roxie, who was a member of our family for 16 wonderful years (she was standard poodle and golden, but the runt of her litter, so she was about 50 pounds). She was loving, happy, playful when you wanted to be, calm and cuddly when you wanted to be. I hope you can find Orli and her sister a Roxie.. I know there are doodle rescues, and I am sure you can find a loving dog who will bring all of you more joy than you can imagine. Sending love and healing.

I am a proponent of animal rescue as there are so many great dogs that are killed everyday while people breed for money. Yes, there are rescue dogs that are hypoallergenic and you can find them at shelters or online. I have always had rescue dogs and people comment on how friendly they are. It's as though they appreciate the fact that you gave them life. I have read all your posts and passed them on to family members. We are all thinking of you and do have some idea of what you are going through having been through similar with my nephew Avi who was diagnosed with advanced stage of Leukemia at age 7. Chemo, radiation, touch and go until he was declared cancer free 2 years later. Tomorrow will be his 38th birthday! We send our good thoughts and love to all of you, Cousin Nancy Shulman
