Oliver, your mom is a friend of mine from our SW Quaker world. With your positive attitude and excellent medical and family care, I have no doubt you will gain in strength each day. I'm "holding you in the light".

Wow! All that treatment research and physical conditioning paid off. You are an inspiration to the rest of us. I'm sure most of us reacted with "oh my god" when we saw the scars in that photo on Twitter, but I was thinking, "boy, he's looking buff"!

Welcome home! I'm so happy to hear that the surgery went well and that you got to come back so much sooner than anticipated. That's obviously a very, very good thing. The Force is strong with you, friend...

Oliver, thank you for the update. It sounds great. Mollie and I speak about you every day. I can only imagine, like Mollie, this surgery hits like a sledge hammer. But like the champ you are (Ali, Frazer, Marciano, etal) you bounced back to fight and win again. We are all proud to know you . You are our hero!
As for the doctor's prognosis and survival data, doctors like to under promise and over deliver. Much of the data is from other institutions and surgeons who aren't of Dr Evans' expertise. And variations of patients stages of disease will affect the data. The only data that matters is the data you are creating. And from your results, you have a very good chance to see grandchildren grow up. We are looking forward to seeing you running, in traffic...........or around traffic. Be careful. We saved the warm weather for your return. Just a scattered shower this week but 85 to 90 degrees. Nice. Enjoy the weather and family.
