Thinking of you and Amelia and hoping the first week went well. It definitely sounds like you made a good decision and glad you did the extra homework and steps to get the best advice you could given so many unknowns. It was good to see you and catch up the other day. Sending love, Wendy

More power to you, Oliver! You and your family have handled this all so well that I am in awe. So glad that you are getting top-notch medical opinions and treatment. I hope you get a chance to enjoy a bit of NYC in the next few weeks, in between appointments. I'll be thinking of you. At least now you have some evidence that acquiring the tattoos necessary to join a motorcycle gang might not be for you. This is good to know!

It's a lot of work navigating the medical system, especially when you are not feeling well and not "your best". But it sounds like you and your family tackled the hard work. All the very best luck to you in the next phase, Oliver. I'll be thinking about you.

Ah, nothing like Weill Cornell to break the tie! Good work. Sent you good vibes today on the first day of the next phase of your adventure. Once this is all done, you should connect those seven dots and come up with a great tattoo to commemorate this ... or not. :)

I'm so pleased that you have researched and listened to many options - even though it has been so tiring and full on - getting your head around it all must be so overwhelming, but it's great that your family have been through it all with you and can discuss and work out what's the best way forward for you. Your updates are great, keep strong and I wish you all the best for this next phase :)

I read this as I ride home on the C2C bus; whenever I ride this bus, I am reminded that Cornell offers transportation to NYC for treatment such as you are about to begin. Blessings to you and your family in this next phase, indeed. Blessings to any “health riders” with me tonight, too.

Dear Oliver, Sending you very best wishes as you embark on this next phase of treatment. Thinking of the mental, emotional and physical fortitude involved, this process seems something like an Ironman, or maybe more like a Platinum-man challenge . In addition to your own remarkable strength and grace, I hope the love and positive thoughts of your family and friends help sustain you. I am reminded of posters seen along marathon routes: Just keep picking them up and putting them down. You got this!

Thinking of you and the family often as you move into and through this next phase. I believe you told me that the actual treatment might only be an hour each day. I hope you have the energy to make good use of your other daily hours in NYC each week. All the best.
